Starbond Superglue Accelerator, also known as CA glue "activator," is used to significantly speed up the drying time of cyanoacrylate superglues. It is a solvent based product that can be applied before and/or after CA glue application.
Unlike other makes of accelerator, Starbond Superglue Accelerator does not cause the glue to whiten or haze in normal use
Starbond Superglue Accelerator is commonly paired with thicker viscosity CA glues and black CA glue, as these adhesives take longer to dry. In addition, Starbond Superglue Accelerator is useful when priming uneven surfaces or material combinations that are harder to bond, and in colder or drier environments where curing time may be delayed.
Use Starbond Superglue Accelerator to cure the CA superglue that flows from joints which are being pressed together, greatly enhancing the joint's strength. When using higher volumes of CA, during gap filling applications for instance, bonding time may take much longer, so in such applications the use of Starbond Superglue Accelerator is highly recommended.
