Yinmn - DiamondCast pen blank. 235mm

One of the bluest blues you'll ever find! YInMn derives it's name from it's chemical composition: Yitrium, Indium, and Manganese. It's so blue it actually reflects some infrared light.

This amazingly rich color is the first inorganic blue pigment created in over 200 years and DiamondCast are the only blank maker to produce it in a pen blank!

Individually cast using Alumilite acrylic resin and a combination of mica powders and liquid dyes, these DiamondCast pen blanks contain real diamond particles which results in an incredible sparkle and depth in the finished pen.

The turning and finishing process is no different to any other acrylic pen blank, and there is no discernable difference in tool edge wear.

Available in either 150mm or 235mm lengths, these blanks are excellent for threading and finish to a superb shine. Thay are suitable for both kit pens and custom pens, (or so called kitless pens).

All pigments contained in DaimondCast YInMn are classified as inert by the US federal authorities, but due to the fact that YInMn contains Manganese, as with any lathe work it's advisable to mask up when turning it.
