Amazique, which is also known as Ovangkol, has plenty of interest and is often seen on the backs of guitars because of it's highly decorative nature, with its varying shades of yellowish to reddish brown with darker brown, grey, or black stripes. It is prone to dulling tools more quifckly than other woods, so a few more trips to the sharpening station may be necessary, but the extra effort is worthwhile and the result will be a beautiful looking pen.
