Triple lead thread taps and dies now in stock

Phil -  27 Jul 2016 17:00:00 Full article...
Great news for makers of kitless pens or custom pens. Triple start threads, or triple lead threads are popular amongst pen makers because it means the  pen cap can be removed or replaced with fewer turns.  Whereas, depending on the length of your thread,  it takes several turns of the cap to screw it on with a single start thread, a triple start thread will do it in a couple of turns or less and is far more professional that way. They’re not cheap, but there again ...

This is our brand new size 5 fountain pen nib, which is supplied as standard with all Beaufort Mistral fountain pen kits, and will also be available to buy on line within the next few days. We promised elsewhere that we’d publish a bit of information about it, so here it is. Phil -  20 Jan 2016 14:00:00 Full article...

Ebonite now available from Beaufort Ink

Phil -  4 Dec 2015 10:00:00 Full article...
The chances are that you’ve never used ebonite for pen making. Up until now it’s been incredibly hard to find in the UK, but that has just changed. Ebonite is used by the prestige classic pen manufacturers – Montblanc, Parker, Cross, Pelikan, Waterman, Montegrappa,  Choppard, you name them – they all use ebonite for their top marques, which in some cases sell for hundreds of pounds. Left handed Bock nibs are now available from Beaufort Ink.

Phil -  6 Oct 2015 16:00:00 Full article...
Left-handers hold their pens and cover the page differently to right-handers. A normal nib just doesn’t do the job for them because the way the tip is set up is wrong. Bock have tuned these nibs to suit left- handers specially for us, which now gives you the choice of left handed or right handed nibs when selling your fountain pens. In stock in both sizes 5 and 6 with a medium point, they are available to buy on our website ...
